Community Programs

Public Drop-ins

These are free drop-ins where we can practice with the community.

Mindfulness is a practice wherein we train ourselves to pay attention to what’s going on in the present moment just as it is. By connecting to the present moment, we become aware of habitual thought patterns and can start to recreate new, healthier ways of responding to life’s challenges.

Who should join?

Current mindfulness program participants, past participants, faculty, staff and members of the community with an existing mindfulness practice. Complete beginners are welcome, as well, however it would be best to attend a beginners’ info session first to learn how mindfulness can help you in particular, and which program would work best for you.

For now, we have 2 drop-ins a month, on Saturdays. These are done via zoom.

Silent Retreats

A day of silence for the community. This is a time for mindful movement, walking, and sitting meditations, typically lasting between 3 to 6 hours. These retreats offer a respite, a space to foster stillness amidst the bustle of everyday life. In silence we may deepen our mindfulness practice, and find experiences that enhance our insights into our selves.

Who should join?

Mindfulness program graduates and past participants with an existing mindfulness practice.

If you're a beginner and would like to discover mindfulness, we would invite you instead to join an info session to learn what programs would be best for you.
